alright eric and i decided that he needs to find an ap2 to use and we are going to race. we are going to do this straight up fast and the furious style with train tracks to mark the end of the 1/4 mile. whoever loses gets hit by the train, now who wants to loan their ap2 to eric

I've owned both. I gotta say I would much rather drive my AP2 everyday than my AP1. I do miss the extra 1000rpm, but the AP2 is so much better everyday, and the suspension and gearing are just plain better, not to mention the more usable low end torque.

Every ap1/ap2 straightline race that I've encountered and have seen the ap2 has won every time.
PS: my car is so plush and soft I don't know what to do with it, definitely not raw at all compared to an ap1, it feels like I'm driving a damn caddy...ap2's

They are so close that arguing which is faster is pretty trivial; besides, both offer something a little different but no matter what they are both great cars.
I'm still all about the AP1...the AP2 that I drove felt "watered down"...that doesn't make it any slower speed/time wise...

Custom color FTW
As far as my layman knowledge has surmised:
ap2 have more midline torque so it should get to speed a little faster but ap1 should have a tad more top end room on each gear. In a 1/4 mile it would depend on shifting prowess and launch skill as to who turned a better time.
Am I on the right track???
after market Gears will decimate all especially if they are overnight parts from Japan.
