Sorry to hear....I must have checked my car 10x when I parked the car overnight in a hotel in Homestead a few months back....
When you get past the violation of being robbed, it's almost as frustrating that the replacements should cost this much to begin with. Although they have little or no economic incentive to help, Honda could provide replacements at a fair price for a fraction of what they cost. This car has been in production for almost 10 years all over the world and there is NOTHING special about these seats. In terms of wear and overall appearance, they are some of the worst I've ever had in car. They're fairly light, that's about the only positive thing I can say. You would think that if the right people at Honda knew that on an ever increasing basis that their cars were being written off and totalled! because of the cost of something as ridiculous as replacement seats, that they would care.

I was even thinking, would a hardtop and seat locks really deter them away? They now know where I live and can do it again with no hassle. With a hardtop they just have to break my window and they find my seats are lock they might just end up in taking my hardtop. I might even be looking at a new car as a thought to this. Anyone have an opinion to this?
Thanks everyone for the help!

That's why you would get the Hardtop lockbar. It is similar to "The Club" in that it is an expanding, lockable bar, that goes between the side catchers. God, they think of everything!!!

Hmm... Here's a set of black/red seats that just showed up on craigslist over the weekend for $550. I'm guessing the picture isn't of the actual seats since it shows them in an S.

Alarm + dual proximity detection + 2 way paging is a very good defense. Not saying an alarm will give you 100% peace of mind but it is the best deterrant in my opinion.
