Bump for more registrations......
Ugly truth time: If we cannot get registrations in and confirmed, we will not be able to pull this off. There 10 days left for registration. We have 6 people confirmed as of right now.
The deadline is the 22nd but we honestly expected registrations to roll in at a much more steady pace. If everyone waits until the last minute we will not have time to secure all of the logistics.
Maybe the timing of the event and the economy is in such a state that we cannot pull this off.
If you want to have this meet, we need registrations ASAP. This is a self funded event, meaning the expenses of the event are pulled directly from the registration fees. We are not trying to be hard asses but we have to secure things in a time sensitive fashion.
We appreciate any consideration you can give this request....

Definitely disappointing "buzz" for this event. Maybe it's just far enough away to keep most of the southern contingent from coming. Even if the entire interest list paid, it's still way off.
I'm confirmed and would love to see this come together but if it means rescheduling to get people to come out, so be it.
Primo - Thanks for all your work. Have you received constructive feedback from people not coming? Is it the date? location? price?

^^^^much appreciated
I am just the loud mouth and front man on this, there are many working to help this event out.
no real feedback from people not registered. I have expressed concern to vendors and other members I see face to face and the general concensus (from 2 weeks back until now) was "they will come"...well that was 2 weeks ago and now its very close to critical mass and the response is simply not there.
I have several PMs from several prospective attendees regarding funds and schedules and I have done everything I can to suggest courses of action for them.
we are calling a planning meeting ASAP to discuss EXACTLY what we need to pull of this event (people VS. Money). I did very rough math last night and, at 54 people paying for option 1 or 2, the variance and final numbers are so tight I cant tell if we would actualy have enough funds or not....
