Traveling to Europe this year and would like advice
I am going to go to Europe this year. I have 1 week for vacation....
any suggestions?
I was thinking about Barcelona, Madrid? Italy? What is the best time to go? Would March be a good time? Thanks, gracias,

I have been to Barcelona and Madrid, both very beautiful.
If you are going to Europe you should conside southern Germany (Ulm and Munich). Go to Black forest or even Austria. I was there last year and had tremendous amount of fun. I went to Spain as a kid, so I don't remember all that much.
My next trip is to Rome and Milan in August. So I can tell you after I come back. Go in Fall time, I think it's the best time to go...MHO

For one week, don't try to do too much. Consider 1 or maybe 2 cities, if it's cities you want to do. Most people agree that Barcelona is a great city but still not made it there myself. In Italy, Rome (of course) but maybe Florence, or Venice. If you do Venice then Verona's not far away.
Paris is always worth a look of course, as is London.
March is very much the end of winter/beginning of Spring so the weather is changeable most places, but you'll have the advantage of being off-peak so lower prices and less crowds, wherever you go (unless you decide to come to the Alps to ski!)

Monaco in May for the Grand Prix. If you're a car fanatic there's no better place or time to go. Ferraris, Lambos, etc... are a dime a dozen. Exotics everywhere. The race is fantastic, but tix are a bit steep. If you go sit across from the harbor. Plus, the Cannes Film Festival is about the same time typically. You would need to check that out. At Cannes the starlet hopefuls are trying to get discovered so they'll show just about anything for the photographers, while in the street or on the sidewalk.
So my vote would go to the French Riviera. And the advice of not trying to squeeze 43 countries in 10 days is great advice. Decide where you want to go and stay there.

I just got back from a tour of Southern Spain a few days ago. That's a really nice trip. Madrid, Toledo, Sevilla, Cordoba, Malaga, Granada, a stop in Gibraltar, and a few days on the Costa Del Sol in Torremolinos. It's a wonderful trip, but it's getting quite hot now. We had two days in excess of 100F. Our tour guide recommended not going in August due to the heat, and because it is vacation time in Spain.
Surprisingly, there are very few convertible cars over there, and the only Hondas I saw the whole time was an HRV (never saw one before) and a Honda Legend (no, not an Acura Legend, but it looked like one).

From my experience, Amsterdam is the the greatest bang for the buck, especially if only have a week. In the city, it's party central, and outside of the city, it's gorgeous country, with the windmills, wooden clogs, and all.
My second favorite place is the French Riviera. Beautiful people, and beautiful surroundings. I actually considered relocating there!
Third is Italy. Don't get me wrong, Italy is WAY up there on my list. Florence, and Venice are great for sightseeing, and the food in Italy (overall) is the best I've found anywhere in the world.
Your choice should be tailored to what kind of adventure you are looking for.

EDIT: The weather should be perfect in April.

What about 4 days Barcelona and 3 days Florence. Great cities.
If you want to see a lot in one week I'd say Barcelona, Florence and Prague.
I think the best period would be Late Aug/ Sept. Not too hot and not too cold.
Honda Legend IS the same as Acura Legend, except for the badges. There's no Acura in Europe.
