Should I ship my car to Europe?

This is too late for me... I will leave US next Friday and there is no way I can find the parts as well as having someone to put it on for me. It took me awhile to get a back fog light and have someone put it on...
It would be great if you can show me some pictures, I have read a lot of posts in s2ki but there ain't that much resource available.

I just got to Den Haag last week and will be staying there for the next 1.5 years! I am actually thinking of going to Ansterdam this weekend. Maybe we can meet up there?
I will PM you my mobile phone number.

My car is in the Rotterdam port now! The shipping company said they will deliver the car next week. What to I need to do first thing? I think I still need to replace the orange standard lens for my car to get RDW approval. Should I make an appointment with RDW now?
I assume I will get parking ticket if I park my car just right out side of my apartment, right? How can I apply for parking permit in the Netherlands???
Many thanks!

You have a MY2006 right? You should just be able to swap out the amber parking lamp bulbs for white ones. Sacrifice your left back-up lamp for a red LED to turn it into the rear foglight. Add wiring with a switch with tell-tale for the driver's cockpit and you're done in terms of modifications.
Get INSURANCE it is mandatory!!!!!!
You didn't think about parking yet...? Aren't you somewhat late at the game right now

Yes! I have a MY2006. I am still trying to figure out where is the parking lamp that I suppose to change... Do you have a picture that show the light bulb???
I hook up the rear foglight in the US so I should be OK but I will need to put a signal somewhere in the driver cockpit to indicate on/off.
I got an insurance quote from my company's agent. It is pretty competitive. It is almost about the same amount (but in Euro) I pay in the US.
I know I am late! I think I will just park my car in my company's parking garage for a week or so before I get everything settle...
Some many things to deal with now!

Switch on the headlamp switch (turn your indicatorstalk forward) just one click instead of two. Your tail lamps will come on along with the two lamps as the front that are now probably amber, should be white.
