My comments:

Here is a price breakdown on the quote...
Car export - $1600 (include US custom)
Unload - 450Euro
NL custom clearance - 125Euro
Handling - 35Euro
...
Modification on car - 375Euro
Just do this yourself. If you're a little bit handy you can do it easily with very cheap parts
VIN inscription - 87.5Euro
This is not necessary for S2000, as it has a chassis number stamped on the firewall in the engine compartment.
Dutch Technical approval handling - 227.5Euro
Just go by yourself. Bring a magazine or book and wait.
RDW legislation cost and technical approval - 116.5Euro
I think this would be what you would be paying at the inspection station.
Handling for BPM declaration - 115Euro
Just do this yourself, if you have the paperwork filled out correctly, you can submit it on site. Customs will walk you through it there.
License plates and mounting - 32.5Euro
Buy there suckers yourself, price sounds about right though.
Local transportation charge - 75Euro
You can drive on US registration plate if you have a valid registration and if you have valid Dutch insurance (tied into your VIN), just make sure to have your customs forms with you. If you're too hesitant to do this, than you can apply for a free(!) one day paper registration to drive your car to and from the RDW inspection station. Gotta pay the gasoline though
19%VAT on cost above (not the car) - 173.38Euro
Should be less, obviously.
Total is about 2955Euro... =(

Thoughts? Think I can deal with the paperwork myself instead?
Paperwork is not super easy, but it is no rocket science either!

Take care,

Siepel

PS: On moving goods your '04 can comply without the headlamp washers and automatic adjustment device.

Alright... Side blinker doesn't seem so hard to find. In fact, I just bought one on ebay and it should come soon... What about side blinker?

"In theory you could put a red bulb in the left backup lamp and wire that as your new rear fog lamp solution. I did pretty much the same on my '03 with a red LED bulb, so relatively stealth-ish."

Siepel - Where should I wire the switch to? I read some posts in the forum and people seem to indicate that I should wire somewhere to the left of steering wheel. Is it the Cruise control button? I will post a photo...

See there is a button labeled "Cruise" just left of the steering wheel? (behind where you give your signal light) Is it there?

Just bring some tuning parts here to Europe which are here hard to find and expensive and sell them over here.

This could maybe help you to cover some of your fees.

I just bought a toggle switch (with yellow led) at Murrays for about 4 bucks and put it kind of below the rear defrost button with some handywork.

Your car already has the side blinkers!

Sorry, that was my typo! I meant fog light...

I thought I still need a side blinker because the side blinker has to be clear, right? or orange is fine? If my current orange side blinker is fine, then it just comes down to the fog light only...

Iam actually very interested in saving some money by driving the car myself. So all I need is just a Dutch insurance that tie to the car? I already get a quote from someone in the Netherlands!

Thank you all!

It is so frustrating! I can spend all the time to do research and call the Revenue Service department but I cannot read and speak Dutch!

Damnit! =(
