It was great fun.
No laptimes yet.
Worn the rear pads down to the metal.
And one rear wheel loosened
The lug nut seats were also painted (by a body shop)
They will get a very nasty phonecall from me Monday.
I think 1 rear wheel has to be replaced, and they are going to pay for it.

But for several laps I was keeping up with a Porsche GT3.
(driver error, no doubt, but great fun!)

Sorry to hear about the wheel... hope there isnt to much damage .. (bearing... bushings..)
Good to hear you had some good fun though

My S is going to service at the end of the month. I noticed a clicking sound seemimgly comming from a wheel while coming back from france, it's accentuating and getting faster with the speed, not the engine revs, and louder when I turn right , lower when I go left .... so my guess is the front left wheel hub bearing is on is way out ... we'll see at the service.
In the same time I'll have a baffled oil pan installed. I'll track the car only when it'll be fully healthy again still have to install the 4.56 rear gears too ..

I missed a trip to the Ring and now this one ... getting a little frustrated, So hopefully I'll join at an other opportunity ...

To "prove" I wasn't just cruisin'.
The S-02's hold up really well after you warm them up.
I could walk away from some cars through the sweeps and corners.
They usually caught up at braking before corners.
At some point hard braking (downshifting from higherv 4th to 2nd with nice heel&toe) became a bit unstable.
Ferodo pads are next to get, now I'm (was) using Spoon pads on Spoon rotors.
Those worn pads are rear Spoons, I've got the old OEM rears back in for now.

One bend wheel stud.
Its clear the lug nut seat was painted over and not cleaned.

Hi there,

Yeah you where surely not there for tourism.. seen how you cleaned these pads That's what I call getting the maximum out of them

The s02's indeed hold up quite well ... when I first got my car in italy it had some porsche boxster s02's "n3" tires all round. When I swaped back for some proper "jz" s2000 so2's I was impressed of how much more traction the car had, mainly at the back. And the first track day with them confirmed that they where pretty good mixed street-occasional track day tires.. I was much less impressed by there mediocre wet handling...

That lug nut seat definitly doesnt look healty ... looks like the paintshop thought gaining a couple 10min avoiding to clean them wouldnt be that much of a big deal ...
Hope that bent stud and losened wheel didnt lead to more stealthy damage.

Let us konw how it went with the paintshop

Rgds,
