I hope some German S2000 owners read this forum!
I'm trying to get an insurance quote in Germany for my car, and lady says that the quickest way to do this is to have a copy of the fahrzeugschein.

So what I need is a copy of a fahrzeugschein (the little book in your car that tells Die Polizei everything about your car) from an 1999 - 2003 S2000, but obviously without anyones personal details!

Can anyone help?

 

Don't think anyone will post or send a copy of their Fahrzeugschein as it is too important as a document even without personal information.

If your car is an original UK S2000, you might try to give her the number that is stamped on the VIN plate which is located on the cross bar above the radiator (I believe) and the number looks something like this: e6*98/14*00........ which is the WVTA number. That *should* tell them enough...

I diasagree.

On a German fahrzeugschein there is standard information on it about the car, and this is the information that the insurer needs.

Standard Information like: PS, schlussel nummer, geweicht, hebraum et etc

I figured it would be easier to get a fotokopie/copy of this area of the Fahrzeugschein, but maybe not...

 

OK, the problem here lies in the word COPY.

if you only need that information that should be no problem.

But not as a copy.

 

So, anyone willing to give me a photocopy of a small section of their German fahrzeugschein?
