I checked today on a friend's stock EU model S2000 and it has convex mirrors on both sides, without any warning text.

To reiterate:

1. Does your left hand drive S2000 have a convex mirror on the passenger side? YES

2. If so, does that convex mirror say "Objects are closer than they appear" on it? NO

PS: I don't think everybody knows what a convex (Class III) mirror is. Actually, flat (Class I) exterior mirrors are not even permitted on EU type-approved cars.

Thanks, I'll see if I can find a right side convex mirror without the writing.

Left side convex mirrors without the writing are available from Japan market cars, I have one of those already.

Hi, i live in Holland and my S2K wich i bought in Belgium has flat mirrors without text on it on both sides.

Some members of the Dutch/Belgium S2K-forum http://www.honda-s2000.be/forum/ have blue convex mirrors on both sides, see at https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/827...onvex-mirrors/ and they like them.
I'am satisfied with the originals.

@Staggie,
Your mirrors are not flat. They are convex.

Are you sure? I tought with convex mirrors you see a streep on the glass?!
But there is no text at all on the glass, that's for sure.

Very sure. You're talking about an aspherical mirror with an integrated special blind spot section on the edge of the mirror glass. That mirror type is not available for the S2000 in any market, as far as I know. A convex mirror (such as on the US-version passenger side only and both on the EU-version driver and passenger sides) is spherical. Only the driver side mirrors in the US are required to be perfectly flat by law, which is in turn not even permitted in the EU.

Here's a photo that shows flat (USA OEM) versus convex (JDM).
