Adjusting headlights
#1
I've read quite a lot of posts of angry american owners, being flashed by people because of the xenon lights. It never happened to me and I thought it was just because my fellow drivers were more civilized ( oops! couldn't resist, sorry! hope none of them reads this part of the forum...).
However I was worried about the fact that in the night, especially on highways, when you can't have the high beams on all the time, my visibility was very good until the limit of the zone lighted up by the xenon, and beyond that... the unknown, the dark domain
So I asked my garage to adjust them higher a bit, but they said that they couldn't, because in europe there was an electronically activated adjustment... this would explain why I never get flashed, but it's still annoying not being able to see more, I'm pretty much sure my friend's S2000 has a better visibility.
Answers, anyone?

The bit about our cars having a self levelling feature is true, but it does nor prevent the flashing because the feature only works when you're stopped. It's basically there to cater for trunk loads.
I believe it can be adjusted, but do not have the details here with me.

Le car,
is possible to adjust the headlights, I did it because after I lowered my car, the light beam was too low.
You have to park the car in front of a wall with the low lights on than open the hood, near each headlight there is a hole in the body of the car that allow your hand to reach the back of the headlight unit, here there is a grey/white plastic nut that you have to turn by using a long 12 mm key, looking at the wall you can see the height of the beam changes.
Remember that to reach the right headlight (right standing in front of the opened hood) you have to take off from its place the coolant container just pulling it out of the bracket, there is no screw or nut that holds the coolant container.
