Default Driving through the Alps

Hi everybody,

After Trento, I intend to continue to Crans-Montana, Valais/Switzerland. Can someone give me any info about the weather conditions around the area of SIMPLON PASS ? (I guess FURKA PASS is out of question...)

Any info /advice about how to avoid snow surpises during the crossing of Swiss Apls will be highly appreciated!

with the freaky weather this region is having - noone can predict what will happen in 2 months. for instance last year in march it was +20C in the alpine valleys of austria. and this year we see meters of snow from november :-o

Predicting the weather 2 months ahead is obviously out of question.....

The point is getting an idea about the usual weather conditions during that particular period.

Does anyone, who lives in this area, know of any webcams (e.g. covering the Brenner Pass), or if there are accurate local weather stations online?

Watch out with the train. Some of the trains are not very friendly for low/lowered cars. I don't know about this train.
