Haha, I'm sure all the first-timers would love going to see their killboy pics only to remember their cars are marked with a giant "N" in blue painters tape front and back!
The randomly assigned group drives could be a good idea as long as they were voluntary. I'd like to choose the drive I go on and I'd definitely prefer if it wasn't "leisurely". I have to drive leisurely at home, I want to let the S stretch it's legs when I'm in the mountains!

Both the tape idea and the random drives certainly shouldn't be required, but it might be an idea to throw out there and publicize for those of us who are new to the whole ordeal. I only found out about the lunch drives through the other UMW people I was with, so if more could be offered publicly, it might be a neat way for people to meet others outside of their usual crowd.
Cha cha... Thanks!! I'm glad people seemed to enjoy it... it definitely helped me feel more welcome.

Perhaps I'm biased, as I already got killboy taking pictures of my car with painters tape on every side.

Thanks for the continued feedback folks; some great ideas.
Instead of a "newbie" stripe, I thought of providing "baby dragon" stickers for the first-timer's nametags, which could be exchanged for a "full" dragon sticker at the dinner banquet Saturday night; sort of a graduation!
More mixers and drives can certainly be organized, but we'll need some more volunteers to step up and assist. Look for a call for volunteers for DBRX in mid-summer.
Also, the drive information we had WAS in the itinerary, which was emailed to each attendee a week in advance of the event, with a note to see the message center for specific drive information throughout the weekend. We'll try to get specific drive options & information out sooner, but have to get the information first in order to get it out!
BTW, Fontana always asks us for feedback, so I'll be sure to include the comments heard here. Thanks again everyone; this helps us to make it more of YOUR event!

Where?
Will Raul be there?
When? It's in September. The 23rd-27th.
Where? Starts at Fontana Dam, NC...goes into Tennessee and ends at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.
Will Raul be there? I hope not. That guy gets on my nerves.
