Basically, a poker run is a motor vehicle event, where each participant "buys in" and then takes a drive, stopping at various locations, picking up a card at each location. At the end of the run, the car with he best hand wins the prize. Standard Poker rules usaully apply, but there are just as many variations on the theme as there are types of Poker. A lot of charity "Poker Runs" involve stops along the route at contributing vendor locations. Not sure we can really do that, since we are really organizing this just before the event and most of the Vendors that would contribute to our little Run are not from there.
In runs that incorporate vendors, usaully the vendor hands out a card to the participants, in exchange he gets business from the traffic flow, and a tax deduction for donating whatever. That takes alot of organization, but it can be alot of fun. We will use volunteers this year to hand out the cards along the route. Who knows, if this seems to work out, we could get a list of "local" vendors to hit up for next year.
Anyway, I will be posting rules and will take any suggestions you all may have to make this a "fun" event.
And just so you know, you don't have to put your nuts on the line, but since you brought it up, Is that how Looter got his "Black Nuts"?
