I know its really last minute, but I really want to go to this event. I am unable to find a place to stay, everything seems to be booked :/
I have found some rooms but they are about 45 mins away from the HQ

I'm disappointed to say that instead of coming to my second consecutive WTD spring event (and hopefully not having a ripped header knocking me out of half of it this year), I'm going to have to give back my Weds-Sun Tapoco room (Jan was so happy to be staying there) since I'm starting a new job next week (3/28) and have to be in Newark, NJ the 4/11-14) and in Las Vegas at the National Association of Broadcaster's trade show the week of WTD (16-21) getting back too late to make it.

I tried so hard to orchestrate it driving down the week before and leaving my S2K with friends/relatives in Knoxville or Nashville then flying to Vegas from there and back but just didn't work out and Raul had to close the registration.


Seriously bummed. Can't come in June (another trade show, then France for cycling in July) so perhaps we'll get a chance to try again for the Fall Dragon Run.

 

There was 1 extra room available as of yesterday at the river's edge treehouse resort. The rooms look really cool, there is a continental breakfast in the mini fridge, and google told me it is 20 min drive from topoco. I am staying there on friday night.
