Were you at the Dragon on 4/3 ?!?!

Last WTD, I went on a solo early morning drive and was approaching a blind right hander. I slowed down a little (those blind turns give me the willies) and then stood on the brakes as an approaching Dollar General 18-wheeler came around the same turn, his trailer taking up all of my lane, just feet in front of where I stopped. 18 wheelers are big anyway, but this one seemed HUGE in the tight confines of the Dragon.
Be careful, you never know what's coming around the corner. During the group drives at least we have FRS and can hopefully radio hazards to others, but there is also the potential for a domino-effect, multi-vehicle incident. Maintain safe distance from the vehicle in front of you. And listen to Raul.

One of the flaws of this road is that the actual 'line' through the corners crosses the double yellow. I will admit I crossed a few times.
Yes this is a public road and you need to stay on your side of the line, but I would be a little more careful of the comments. In the second picture the guy is following the line of the turn. However after looking at the first picture I would guess this was unintentional. The first picture he's squirlly and not following any kind of line.

Every year I see someone driving over the center line, and I have almost been hit by a couple of them. The only thing I can say is that if this tool, or a tool comparable to him, crosses the line and runs into me, my wife, or any of my friends, he better pray for mercy because I will throw his stupid a$$ off the freaking mountain. Heck, if someone like that even crosses the line enough to scare my wife I will straight whoop that guys a$$ right then and there. Can you tell I have an emotion about this one?

I've heard that argument countless times, and with all due respect, it is complete bullshit.
You are right however about it being a public road and I don't disagree with staying between the lines. I'm only stating why it would be done.

In the second picture, the driver is endangering the life of the motorcyclist for absolutely no reason. If he gets to the other end 1 second sooner by taking the "proper line", he will not get a prize, he will not be any better for it, but the other 10-500 people on the road at that time are all worse off for his selfish behavior.
Just consider what happens if that bike is 10' further along the road? He lays it down to avoid getting hit, wrecks his bike, maybe gets seriously hurt? Then what? Big surprise, a dozen cops show up and nobody gets to enjoy themself the rest of the day.
My last trip to the Dragon, Kaolinte and I had the misfortune to see a dying biker laying in the road. He was run off by a car or bike (we heard both) that was going too fast and was in his lane. I don't want to see another ing corpse on the road because someone wanted to take the "proper line".
