I'll be driving down to the event from Canadaland on Wednesday, May 11. I'm planning on having a late lunch at either Smokin' Butts, just north of Caryville, TN- ARRIVAL about 2:30 +/- 30 mins. Its an outdoor BBQ joint amongst the urban decay of a road side attraction. If its absolutely teaming down, then I'll be instead stopping in Rocky Top, TN at Coal Creek Smokehouse (its got indoor dining)- ALTERNATE ARRIVAL about 3:00 pm +/- 30 mins.

But after filling up on smoked BBQ goodness, its time to hit the Devil's Triangle counterclockwise. If you'd like to join me, post up here- no obligation as I know plans can change last minutes. I've a Suzuka AP2 with Ontario plates and radio on channel 4.

Here's the drive. Oh by the way, for the uninitiated, 116 is a challenging drive- I slow right down in residential zones and around the concrete/quarry area as there are times that the hilll top ingress/egress for the trucks is littered with grit and stones makes for an ass puckering drive especially if you lose grip. Keep about a 4+ second following distance to the car ahead at all times.
