Fo what you will spend on fuel for the tow vehicle you can probably get the cruise control fixed. I considered towing my car up from Florida since the wife will most likely complain the entire way, but I decided between the fuel and extra time it just wasn't worth it.
It's not about the money. I even had Billman rip my car apart, and it's a very complicated problem that we can't seem to diagnose. Neither my cruise control, EPS, or alpine navigation speed sensor signal work.....I know it must be a wire somewhere, but I've checked all the harnesses associated with speed 3 times, and everything was fine. I will rip it apart again in the spring, but it's actually an extremely complicated problem.

Get yourself a multimeter with long leads and do continuity tests on the speed signal lines, that should tell you something rather quickly. I am not quite sure how the S2000 gets it speed signal but if you start at the source and work your way back you'll be bound to find a high OHM reading. I would suggest working from harness connection to harness connection.
