Thursday, 12th or Friday, 13th
I am planning on leaving Upstate SC really early on Friday to arrive at Fontana by 8 AM or so. This is my first big event at the Dragon. Is it possible to get any good runs in on Friday morning? I see a lot of people talking of arriving a day early -- Thursday.

Friday's just another day on the Dragon - just fewer riders/drivers than Saturday. Thursday will be even less crowded. 
If you've never been here before know that there are few places to get gas or eat. The small station at the entrance to Fontana Village will definetely be the most convient for gas. Robbinsville is the only place close that resembles a town - really more of a community.
