What would you like to see raffled off for WTD07 and DBR07?
How about a complete Comptech suspension package so I can try again?

Like Dexter said...every event is better than the last.

Only suggestions are:

1) Banquet location...it is just too crowded for the number of people we have attending now days. I know it is the largest room at the inn, but there are other buildings at Fontana. I looked in the hall where the cloggers were clogging and it is huge compared to the room at the inn. I know that might cause a challenge as far as catering, but I think it would be managable. Plus the extra room would allow multiple catering stations, which would avoid the long line and rush to the feeding trough.

2) Accurate information was a bit spotty on events. I'd heard about a BBQ for one evening...it didn't seem to materialize. Pancake breakfast...did that end up happening?

3) Someone mentioned a car show...great idea...would love to see what others have done to there cars.

Good comments! One of the reasons for moving WTD was their ability to accomodate us in the larger rec hall for dinner, so it seems great minds think alike! Good idea for the multiple stations.

The BBQ and pancake breakfast were events that Fontana planned and they were open to the whole village, not just our group. They just handed out flyers during registration that had the details on those items. (The breakfast did occur, just in the Wildwood Grille due to the weather.)

Thanks again for all the input...you guys are great!

I was talking to some "Dragoners" last night, and they mentioned that the banquet hall was VERY crowded and got VERY hot Saturday night.

I ended up in the "side-room" for dinner instead of the main hall, which was pretty comfortable, but I ended up standing in the back for the raffle and assorted speeches.

I am not sure if Fontana has anything larger to accomadate the group (which I expect will be bigger this year?) Or if we can plan for the banquet outside as suggested above. (Of course, if it is wet... )

See Sheila's note a few posts up. We didn't like the small hall either, especially not having everyone in one place. As it was, that was the reason we had to cap number of people at the event where we did. We've got a _much_ larger hall this time around.

Thanks for the feedback!

Excellent feedback and suggestions folks! With these, we can make adjustments to WTD '07 and try our best to accomodate everyone. As the years pass and the events grow, we make a concentrated effort to improve. We know we can't please EVERYONE...but damnit...we want to!

BTW, if you are wonderin', the "official" WTD '07 TEAM consists of 7 people!
  • smccoy - Sheila
  • Ron - Ummm...Ron
  • JAHumphrey - Jamie
  • SC_Highlander - Bryan
  • DEIGER - Matt
  • Mulder ATO - Jason
  • airgate - Raul (me)
As always, feel free to send any questions, comments and/or suggestions to any of the folks here listed.

Official registration should...(WILL BE) up by EOM January!
