Great Event! Thanks DBR Crew!
Friday night social! Some organized drives on Saturday afternoon.
And next time I may trailer the car to the event. 800 miles from NJ is not this car's forte', but I knew that. Chalk it up to "I had to do it once", like riding my Harley to Sturgis. I had to do it once. The bike has been to Sturgis 6 more times in a trailer.

I was the dork with the bright yellow emg88 on my windshield if you saw the car you wouldn't miss it. Most of the Photog caught it. My +1 was busting my chops about it all weekend. With so many Silverstones I had to be able to find my own car! We will meet at some point.

A hardtop of course!

Honestly though, anything you raffle off would be awesome. I know we all appreciate what you offer us, especially the winners.

How was the NSX drive with the winner during Wake the Dragon...hope it went smoothly and didnt scare you too bad!

I think the event is too short. 1 full day of driving isnt worth the trip thats why I came up early.I know its hard for people to get off work for more time. I think things are fine the way they are. The spring event was much better due to alot more people being there and it seemed more people had the chance to meet each other and talk. Im going up there to run my car that I have spent 1000's and 1000's on and there isnt much else that comes across my mind. The only thing that I want is dry weather. The night runs on the dragon are sometimes the best due to no traffic also,. You can make a solid run without having to be stuck behind the slow pokes. As far as having times for people to venture out to the skyway/Highlands , that might be a good idea. As far as the prices, how can one complain , its not expensive by any means. My cabin was 200 a night and for 3 nights cost me 600 dollars. It sleeps 6 people so its a 100 bucks a person, not bad at all in my eyes. As far as food we took some with us and cooked in the cabin. If someone wants to have a cookout that would be cool. When I went up with the Suby group someone had a big pig roast and it was awsome. It gets everyone together and is a fun little event for the evening. The dragon event for me is a time to do alot of testing to the car, and my main focus is to have fun and drive my ass off. This was my second S2k dragon event and I think its awsome. Great job by everyone.

Actually I like the idea of the pig roast or something similar. The way we do dinner now is OK, but with the outdoor barbeque style dinners people tend to be walking around and socializing more, whereas at our current dinners the only people you meet are those immediately around you.

Of course weather could be an issue, but then if we get a tent for the Friday night car show, we could use it again for the social dinner on saturday

And while the Dragon's not really condusive to group "organized" drives, it would be nice to have some organized drives to other roads in the area, perhaps on Sat afternoon? Be looking for a call for volunteers!
Seems like I'm always leading a group off to other roads on Saturday.... The Dragon gets too crowded at times...

Found one or two that are nice.... but always looking for more....

With respect to the social aspect of the Hilton vs Fontana - it rained the last time we stayed at the Hilton and nobody was outside there, either. WTD @ fontana, people were out and about all weekend and you just had to look and you'd find groups of 10-30 people sitting around Saturday after the banquet. It's a tradeoff, but I'd prefer Fontana.

I like the pig roast idea. The buffet deal discourages people from talking until after the banquet.
