Thumbs up Suggestions for next time?

Unlike the weather and cell phone coverage (which we CAN'T control ) what suggestions do you have for making the Dragon events better for everyone?

Some of the improvements this time came from your past suggestions (A message board, list of where people were staying, etc.) and we want to keep improving.

Please list your suggestions/feedback and let us know if they are for the DBR event staff, Fontana Village or both! I'll make sure the Fontana suggestions are passed along.

BTW, the (almost all new!) Fontana staff was amazing to work with this time; they're very professional and anxious to learn how they can continue to improve as well.

Many thanks to EVERYONE for coming out. I hope you had a great time; I know I did!

I'd like to see a few more organized drives - maybe a sign-up sheet for times, routes, etc? Sometimes, it was a little tough to find someone to run with, probably because everyone was out running

And, I wonder if Fontana could get some sort of supervised "daycare"? Would have been nice to be able to take the +1 on a run.

Thanks!

Dave

I think the message board and the sheet of people listing where they were worked well. Personally, I'm not really sure what else I would want to be different. I think Fontana is a great place for us.

Thanks again to all the organizers who did another great job!

This is my first time at an event like this, what a great time!! Despite the rain, it was still very fun and exciting to see all the S's. I like the idea of having a little more structure with touring times set up. And maybe some more group stuff at night. Overall great experience! Josh

2nd on the organized drives...Id like to see that.

Have a couple times and all set up through the day and people can sign up for different drives and all and stuff...

I liked the message board though big time that worked well

Id like to see a raffle again though just like they had at WTD
not just the door prize kinda thing but a chance to win something big like suspension or giftcards, but i guess thats more hardtopguys thing then yalls but yeah

umm other then that a few hookers would be nice

Every year you guys put on a better meet

Maybe Fontana can throw in some deals on Village activities or food - something like "stay in a Magnolia and get 10% off things" or make a weekend discount pass available for purchase.

If organized drives are up there at WTD, those should probably be for trips up Cherhola, Alcoa/Robinsville runs, or exploring trips. If they're setup for Dragon runs, then they should probably be there for novice group runs. It will be nice for the faster guys to know when to run in the opposite direction.

The only thing I can think of (not mentioned yet) is a better PA setup.
The Peavy was . . . . . . . . . less than lame.
Perhaps the resort can help us out there, or a member. Maybe the presentation could be done from the center - might not even need power then. It was hard to hear Raul in the back.

And once again Shelia, the idea to move registration to later hours was a smooth move in more ways than one.

Once again this was an awesome Dragon event. I really have no suggestions for the actual event. Raul and crew put together an awesome event once again. I did like the raffle from DBR 5 and WTD but I know it depends on the sponsors etc.

One idea would be to have some organized things to do during Saturday throughout the day maybe. Group shots? Finding a place to go and having a color organized car shot would be really cool. Or like the previous suggestions, organized drives around the area would be fun.

I dont want to offend anyone but I was actually pretty dissapointed in Fontana this time. I understand that the Hilton may not be able to hold as many people etc. but I felt that last years Dragonball had a better sense of community. Walking the parking lot while we worked on our cars was awesome and I met more people then than during WTD and this Dragonball run.

Also, we are closer to ammenities for emergencies or supplies as well as choices of places to go and eat.

Just a thought, but possibly holding WTD at Fontana and DBR at the Hilton or another hotel that can accomodate us would be cool, so each event has a different social aspect to it.

Fontana, while being cool to have a cabin is also more expensive then staying at the Hilton and I certainly would not want to have the same cabin that we had this time. It was in really bad shape.

Just a couple ideas but once again, I had a blast, thanks to everyone who made it happen and see you at WTD.

The meet was awesome this year, very well put together and just well, classy!

The only suggestion I have is maybe to create some activities for th e+1's that absolutely refuse to get in the car with their husbands. Maybe an S2Ki putt putt competition? They've got a course. If it rains, it would be nice to maybe show a car related movie or something. It just seems that the meet is getting bigger and bigger and now we can include those that are left out a little more.

just a thought, feel free to shoot it down. I'm just looking out for the ladies, I always do...

Of course there are many ladies that are just as thrilled about the corners as myself.
