Not me , but somehow Tenblade's sled got some custom vinyl-esque additions added all along the passenger side, trunk, and hood. Wonder how that happened?

Maybe one suggestion on sponsers;perhaps we could convince MTV to "Pimp My Ride"........maybe Airgate's as a show of grattitude for all the long hours he and his nameless "helpers" put in to make all of our weekend a memorable experience.

Pointdexter,

I'll clarify my statement - Someone had pointed out that it was 3+ hours for lunch and the photo. I think there is room for improvement there. I don't know what that is, perhaps its to break into groups? Let's say by color, where each color could eat at a slightly offset time, or people could sign up for a time, in 15 minute intervals, 1/4 of the people for each of 4 'slots'. This would allow some people to drive while others get situated for lunch, then arrive when the crowds at the tables are a little less.

Then people can drive after eating, and not have to wait for everyone to finish. As long as they arrive at the next part of the event on time.

The part about knowing distances also plays into that. Knowing how long it will take to get to where we need to be will help in planning what each of us do with the 'unscheduled time'.

Finally, I never, ever, ever, questioned Raul's devotion to this event, his determination to make it happen, and his efforts before, during and I'm sure after the event. That was never in question, nor should it be. I'm sure that the list you provided is just a partial list of everything.

This thread was started to gather suggestions about improvements. I offered some suggestions that I thought were useful. If I didn't, I wouldn't have posted them. Hopefully, all the input will be looked at by Raul when he gets a chance, and can evaluate what people say. I don't expect that everything I say will be done - I'm not that pompous - but I hope it will be evaluated for their merit. I hope you feel the same about your suggestions and responses - that they be considered.

Gary - good ideas in both your posts.

For what it's worth, this event was considerably larger than the previous events that Raul put together. Going from 60-70 people to ~125 presents some growing pains, particularly with group photos and lunch. The police escort onto 140 was one step Raul took to alleviate those pains. If DBRun in September is anywhere near as large as WTD was (and I expect it to be larger), these suggestions will come into play.

Billy, as will many suggestions from many people.

BTW: Me and Alex have resolved our little misunderstanding. We're both almost grown up and have put it past us
