RTD 2021 Made it home safely

We have a spring and a fall get together at the dragon each year. We stay at Fontana Village just off 28 near the dragon. Most of us show up on Thursday and head home on Sunday but there are a few who stay longer. If you would like to join just keep an eye out here for a thread with registration info. Registration for the fall even should open pretty soon.
Well, then you need to go visit your Mom's house in Asheville a couple of times a year! It really isn't possible to participate in these weekends from any further away than Tapoco Lodge or Robbinsville where there is a MicroTel. Most people stay at the Fontana Dam Resort which has a lodge (hotel) and cabins for groups. Each day various people volunteer to lead 10-25 cars on a drive either to experience a certain road or area or to a destination. Like to Franklin for Lunch on Friday or the incredible and dangerous Devil's Triangle on a Thursday or Cherahola Skyway or a midnight star gazing drive. It is so fun being there with dozens of other S2000's. As our cars age, the vast majority have mods or are personalized and it is cool to see what others do. Then there are OEM cars and some with hundreds of thousands of miles in attendance!
But you can arrive early and stay in Ashville, often there are sub-groups that meet for a dinner in Ashville on the way and then stop on the way back on Monday after.
Highly recommended! Check the Vintage forum as well as the Events forum for more posts.

Great to see everyone
Another great event! Glad Mike's car issues were resolved - thanks Scooter and Jason.
Santosh and I got separated from the rest of the OKI group heading north on I-75. We got back about 3:00pm and as Mike pointed out the traffic on I-75 was ridiculous. If there were any gaps in traffic (not many) they were usually in the right lane!
I'm heading to Ashville today and then on to the Lake Keowee area for a wedding this weekend. More quality time on I-75

Late to the party, but made it back ok. Thanks to Scooter and Aaron for their help on Sat when I had a check engine light pop. The code was cleared and I made it all the way back to Chapel Hill before it and the VSA light went off again. Grrrr. The hesitation and jerkiness were worse the second time around.
I did hit up the road to nowhere on the way out. There are a number of trails up there where the road ends. https://www.greatsmokies.com/road-nowhere/

We made it home yesterday to Derry Township, PA
We did finally made it home yesterday around 5 pm. We stayed a night in Princeton, WV on the long journey home. My car registered 49k close to home. Premium was non existent in Robinsville, and it was hard to find in NC. WV had lots of gas.
Most of today was spent clean the Suzuka and trying to catch up on everything around the house/yard.
I really enjoy meeting everyone!
Here are a couple photos I took on our way home in WV!
Young’s Monument and overlook
Here is a panorama of the overlook.
