We're new to S2kI and the Atlanta S2k club but we are looking forward to the Dragon with y'all. Sent in registration yesterday and made reservations.

The hotel mentioned rooms were available on an "executive floor" which includes 2 continental breakfasts and limited access to the floor (more security) - for an extra 20 bucks - probably not worth it but if rooms run out... its better than camping.

We did the Dragon by ourselves last year after we first bought out S. Going north was great and coming back down was good too... until we rounded one of the last turns and met a tanker truck covering both lanes. No fun at 8000+ rpm and less than 50 feet to get stopped. You could see visions of a giant fireball and a grinning Dragon in your dreams for weeks!

We're glad to be going in a group this time!

How come it's never a Supermodel or Adult Film stars convention...?

Because we'd have to cancel the driving portion if that was the case!

Or at least not have it until the afternoon.

Care for a roomie? (aka split charges?) I've got earplugs!

Reservation changed to 2 doubles. If we get the same room I had last time, you won't be able to hear the snoring over the jets!

You're doing Fri & Sat night...correct? I'll figure to take Friday as PTO & drive up that morning from Richmond. Should give me some seat time on The Dragon Friday afternoon . I'll be heading back to Richmond Sunday.
