NO VOX...NO VOX...FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, BREAK THE VOX FEATURE OFF ALL YOUR RADIOS!!!
I've whipped 3 radios down the mountainside being forced to listen to some moron's musical preferences because they had VOX turned on. Please, don't make me toss a fourth radio off a cliff .
BTW...be sure you have strong, fresh batteries (and backup batteries to replace during weekend). You'll need them cuz you'll forget to turn the radio off . And 5 mile range quips or no...if your batteries are sour, you won't talk to the guy parked next to you through these radios .

no sub channels, but then I doubt most will have sub channel anyways. The price is right and comes with all the goodies.
BTW, i think these radios can transmit on high power on the shared GMRS/FRS channels....
