Cool vid.
That guy in the black sedan was doing very well considering the kind of car it is.
The guy who posted "The dumonster" is the owner of the car. At 375 rwhp it's no slouch. He beat up on a new Camaro SS on the ride back to NY

metro's video links are on the first page (and below), it didn't like when i used the tag so you will have to follow the links.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBMKCdby9tI -- part 1

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC7EC16dhB0 -- part 2
Just copy and paste the link directly from the youtube window, and post with no tags. S2ki will add the tag automatically. It's a strange system, because if you try to actually use the youtube tag, it yells at you.

Anyway, ta da:

very cool, yes this is the video with the camera mounted on the front lip. it's amazing we didn't get any wind noise, we were all in awe watching it at the halfway hotel.
so you all didn't do anything special for wind noise? that blows my mind. I wonder if the cam has something built in to combat it. Was it the Flip HD?

I've fought wind noise for years, and this year finally bought a microphone muff from Guitar Center and taped a piece of it over the mic on my videocam. It worked pretty well but not perfect. 1000% better than it used to be.

One other thing to note about youtube links... If you go back to edit your post, and the "" part is in there, you'll get an error when you try to save it. You have to delete all of the automatic formatting so that it's just the bare "http://..." and then you can save your edits and everyone will be happy.

So many frustrations with this site's forum software compared to some others I've used, and it's the only one I pay for. But that's a whole other discussion...

i guess sometimes you just get lucky. sound was great on that one (but where's all the tire noise? )

by the way, did you shoot any video on your way back from the overlook? was hoping to catch a glance of me screaming by

We were shooting that direction as well. That time we tried mounting the camera to the bumper over by the brake duct to see how it would look. Wind noise like crazy. The splitter must be creating some sort of air pocket, whatever it's doing it keeps the wind noise down and I love it
