Remove the 'tool/jack tray' and gain 1/5 more trunk space. Face it, if you have a flat, you'll be flat-bedding the car for a tire replacement anyways .

Not advice that need be followed, but its what I do for long trips to gain valuable trunk space

Just remember..... its a long drive on a flatbed if you have problems.

Thank goodness Dale had his spare last year..... wend flat on I-40 on the way home.... luckily a WalMart had the correct tire size.... but without the spare, he would have either had to be trailered, or someone take his old tire there.... get the new one mounted... and then drive back.....

my trunk is bare metal, no spare, nothing. best mod i've ever done. so much more room.

Today my S got washed, cleaned, polished and waxed ... for the first time since I've owned it. It will stay in the garage until wednesday.
