That footage was shot by the Chattanooga CBS affiliate several months ago. There was a larger slide further east on US 64 earlier and they called in a state geologist to evaluate the rest of that highway through the Ocoee Gorge.
That section most concerned the geologist because of all the unsupported overhangs. Turns out she was right.
It's the route I would prefer to take to WTD provided it's open.
If not I'll have to go up 411 - much less funsies.
