More than one way to Slay the Dragon!
My Daughter Abigail is 9 and has become incredibly inquisitive. Wanted to know all about the Dragon, why it is called that, if the Dragon were real, etc. this trip. I suggested she do some research on the subject, and dang if she didn't go down to Deal's Gap and *find* that pesky beast!!!!
After a brief discussion with the Dragon, over a great BBQ lunch, she decided that she'd become a dragon-slayer, too!!
Thanks to Ms. McCoy, one little girl had a very special treat this weekend!

"Mack" certainly enjoyed his time with Abigail...he was up to all hours of the night telling Sheila and Ron crazy stories and adventures...

"Mac" Dragon hasn't stopped asking where his little blonde girlfriend has gone to. She's obviously his princess now! He looks forward to seeing her in the Spring.
Strange sidenote: I didn't realize it until later, but when I had both the engine breakdown and the "bend your rim" incident; those were the only times in over 4 years that I've driven on the Dragon without my lucky mascot in the car. with me He's a good watcher.
