As much as this problem is discussed I would find it incredible that they are members.

Before every Dragon event, we discuss lane crossing in the forums. Before we depart, Raul gives us The Speach. And every event, I see some S2KI members driving, in general, like retards.

I'm not talking about spirited driving, just the dumb stuff like lane crossing, blind corner passing and other immature actions.

I also "find it incredible that they are members", but they often are.

I hope you say something to the members. I honestly have not seen any of our members lane crossing at WTD or DBR...

Rob, anytime I'm near you bad things happen. I'm not going to be in your group!

One additional thought / piece of advice:

Don't "accept" a waved invitation to pass a vehicle that is in front of you . At least IMO, you're just asking to have your ass handed to you [if something bad happens]. And the fact is, although there may be room on a straight for you to make a pass b/c the guy in front of you is 'waving you around'...well...what about the biker (or whatever) that approaches in the opposing lane. Eeeeven if there is high distance visibility (on, what...all of 4 straight-aways?)...the fact is, an approaching cycle/car now has to 'react' to something they never intended on expecting (aka YOU in THEIR lane). Just not worth it. I shake off the guy ahead of me when he offers to wave me around.

...then I toot my horn j/k

Oh, and going back to my thoughts above?... *IF* something foul happens as a result of you accepting a 'wave around'...do you think that vehicle ahead of you is going to admit to the cops (or the casualty) that they invited you to pass them?

Just food for thought. Again, [for me] life's just too short to stress out over a SMV. I can stop for a minute. I can stay with SMV and just enjoy the scenery. Or, bottomline, I can count on another safe trip in the other direction just as soon as the turd moves off or I get to the end and turn around.
