I wouldn't bounce it off the limiter unless I was racing for a time or position and the corner was coming up real quick, but definitely not on a canyon run. I saw a few times where he could have shifted up, stayed in that gear for a second, and drop it back down before the corner and not have to bounce it off the limiter for 3 full seconds.

LOL that's our friend Austin Cabot, "A.Cab" on here I believe. He is the one following me while I filmed Billman in the night run on the Dragon video. (And staying right up my ass you might notice.) He tracked his S2k a lot, and set class records regularly. He's moved on to a modded Scion FRS (what he was driving in that night run) and is working on a Miata with a K-swap Honda motor. He used to live 5 miles north of the Dragon and knows the road quite well...one of the top 5 most impressive Gap drivers I've ever seen. No the Evo is not me.

And yes that pass and slide were pretty bone-headed.

"For those of you wondering, the car had 66k miles on it when this video was posted. As of 7/20/12, it has 116k miles on it...motor has never had any issues. Car still has the original clutch, original diff, and original wheel bearings."

So why does it have cel? Check engine lights are issues

Could be something as simple as a bad gas, bad O2 sensor, or using a test pipe (w/o a defouler), or etc..... doesn't always mean something big/bad is wrong.

I learned more in 1 day at the track than I did for 1 week at the Dragon. Track days are the most educational and beneficial thing a person can do that is serious about performance driving.
