Default Good News, Dragon Open

A cautionary tail of travel for a Sunday afternoon drive. US 129 has been open for a couple of days and looks like enforcement has increased to the point of passing 11 officers in one trip through the dragon. That is one per mile with most running radar. These included a mix of THP (9 in cars and motorcycles) and locals (2).

Anyone else with a similar experience?

I just got back from the Dragon this weekend with my motorcycle club. I only saw one mobile unit, then 5 officers working one spot. Two with radar guns, two writing, and one directing them over.

I went through at 1pm and 2:30 pm Saturday - as heavy as the traffic was, I actually didn't mind the presence of the police this time. I think it would of been total chaos without their presence.

The drive is the reason - the destination is just the excuse. Enjoy the drive !

My guess is he has traffic stopped....

The guy by the red pickup looks like he is taking a piss..... so traffic must be at a standstill!

i think the dragon being closed due to the rockslide and only open from 8am-8pm was the best thing to ever happen. only two cops and no traffic!
