That's the proper attitude. Any of us will be more than happy to share experiences, tips, ideas to make your trip to the Dragon fun and safe. Be sure to do the Friday morning Newbie drive if you are here early enough. It's a guided trip through the Dragon following drivers who have experienced the Dragon many times.

First noob question. Will apps like Pandora radio work on the dragon? I have an EVO phone with the amazon cloud player and the music is not stored on my phone. Wont work, will it?

And if this is the wrong place to post this question I apologize.

pandora only works if you have a signal from your carrier right? i don't think you can get service on the dragon as there are no cell towers in that area

And we don't finish off fifths.... we sample.... OK.. we sample repeatedly!!!

Then we try and get Raul to finish off the fifths!

Correct....to play music from Pandora or Amazon Cloud or Google Music, you need a data connection. Ain't no data connection on the Dragon. If you want music other than the limited radio stations, make sure it's stored on your phone.

The closest data connection I know of is on the boat ramp across from the Harley store, and that's only if you hold your tongue right. Heck, there's barely even GPS down there.

You can get a connection in the lodge and in some of the rooms. Don't count on it though. Sometimes it works...most of the time...well, most of the time you have to talk to the people who are there.

Oh yeah, advice. Take it easy your first couple of times through the dragon. It is WAY more taxing than you think it is. It'll make you weary the first few times through. It is very dfficult to react to the dragon all the way through, you have to always be setting up the next turn. Loss of concentration causes accidents.

Yeah, I meant "data" as opposed to "wifi." I think the wifi spots at Fontana are listed in the itininininerary.

Seriously! You get about half-way through, finally remember to breathe, and think, "it's not over yet?" Then after a couple times through you think, "it's over already?"

There is an uncanny resemblance

I concur with Markie-poo though...do a run down and back...then take a break at Deal's Gap...check out the tree of shame and reflect on what could happen.
