I drove the Dragon about 3 weeks after I bought my S. I didn't trust (and still don't) my tires for that kind of driving in anything other than dry conditions, so as soon as it rained - I parked it and rode with others for the rest of the day. I'd rather have my car (and my life) then chance it and not, be aware, be careful, and don't push your limits.
That being said, I'll be back in April with different tires and much more experience in the S BRING IT ON!

Stay in your lane and drive within your limits. You'll be fine. Just understand that this is your first event, and if there is any ever doubt, SLOW DOWN.
It's a very pretty area and road. It's not a racetrack.

My first time; I was with people I should have miles from..... (ie Importsport one of the members in the group.) He had 100x the experience than I. So for a while I tried to keep up....
1. I had no clue on where I was going, b/c we had to go through the Dragon to get to Fontana.
2. I had never been there, and was pretty much saying "how bad could it be

Ego has no place on the dragon. You don't have to prove anything. Stay to the right of center. Assume every car you meet is being driven by a maniac or a drunk.
Survival is the key. Without it, you don't have any fun.
