My problem is that I am way east of the dragon in North Carolina. I have a full tank now but it will maybe get me as far as Asheville. Asheville is pretty much closed down. I got that news from my nephew who lives there. I didn't want to chance driving to there and not being able to continue or even return home. From my home to Fontana is 400 miles.

I hated to bail on this one because I have been so looking forward to it.

I hope all goes well for all of you.
Hope to see you in September.

Hate to see you have to drop out. I'm planning to make the journey up from Alabama tomorrow and will report on my findings. I would encourage others to please do the same.

We are still planning on attending.....

Bringing a siphon along, in case I need to drain cars at Fontana at night!

There are definitely a few gas stations closed but we found gas in Robbinsville at a few locations.

Once all the locals fill up... should be gas available....

Might have to go an extra few miles to find it....

That's my story and sticking with it....

That being said... who is a AAA member.... want to stay close to you! lol

MD also impacted. 2 gas stations on the corner near me. One completely dry, the other was out of regular when I pulled up, out of mid-grade when I waited in line, then I pumped premium with a still huge line going.

Drove down today from VA took the southern route in TN, stopped a few times just to top off and really didn’t need to, no lines. Did the last fill in Serverville and drove the last 60 miles via the foothills pky and 129
