We got home about 3:00. Best thing I have ever done in my s2000!!!

On our way back on 40 there were 2 cars driving the same speed. I got a little impatient and decided to push the car on the left. Big mistake... She tapped the brakes, I jerked to the right to go around in the right hand lane and entered into the biggest bloodiest mess of deer I have ever seen.

There was nothing we could do aside from suck the seats up in our ass and hang on. We hit the huge already dead deer with the front left and no joke... The front left wheel literally left the pavement.

I luckily kept control of the car and upon inspection the damage is very minimal. A little blood and hair on the bumper, jacked up alignment, and missing front strake.

Survived the dragon but not interstate 40! LOL!

One of the best times I've ever had! Great people! Can't wait for next year!!!

Home safely!

A great time as usual, a huge "Thank You" to all the organizers who make this event possible and so much fun. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

I love my S but I am looking forward to parking her for a few days, 2000+ miles in 5 days.

I meant to add, we left Fontana at 6:30 AM. Stiill dark. Got behind an SUV pulling a trailer on 28. Followed him about 8 miles at speeds up to a terrifying 32MPH and down to 25. Anyway, I finally spotted a short passing zone(broken center lines), downshifted and floored it. My guess is I was doing about 75 when I pulled back in the right lane in front of him. I didn't notice the speedo because I was looking at the NC State Highway Patrol emblem and lettering on the side of the SUV. Pucker factor 10.
I knew he couldn't catch me but I also knew he could radio one of his buddies down the road. This has to be the same troopers that stayed at Fontana Village.

Good news, I saw no blue lights in the mirror on the way home.

Lee...You saw them in *AND* out of The Dragon!!!! WOW! If that twere my Suzuka, I dare say there would have been a wiff of 'beef' within the cockpit of the S on that particular pass!!! My but that was funny!!!! Thanks for the HUUUUUUUUUUUGE laugh!!!

As for 'mama w1ngy' and myself, we arrived safely to my home ~ 7:45PM. No coppers...no traffic...no complaints (except from my arse perhaps ).

We had a GREEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAT time with everyone we had time to see, chat, hug, smile and laugh with during this past weekend's event. We had arrived on Monday...and to say that Sunday arrived waaaaaaaay toooooo soooooon is an absolute understatement! Just impeccable weather. It honestly could not have possibly been any better. WOW! What an event!!!

With hindsight, I'm not even still pissed about my 2 hour un-lunch -- All teasing aside, thanks Mike for a GREAT DRIVE Saturday Super-duper!!!

Thanks to everyone for everything!!!!

Great times!

Dave (and 'mama w1ngy')

Home safe as well...all is in one piece other than my bourbon glass. Was taking the blowup crawfish out of the trunk and *splash* there went the glass. Katelyn had me grilling about 10 minutes after I got into town.
