Default Dragon Shake Down Weekend 2021

Finally got back into the S2000 world with an 08 NFR. Thanks to John Allen from Huntsville, AL with this clean AP2. I must say I really missed the rag top and the fun driving factor of the S2000. Now its time to do a shake down road trip to the dragon. I did keep the CTR but of course. The best grocery getter that Honda has ever produced. Looking to stay in Franklin, NC at Sapphine Inn. Just another mom and pop hotel just down the street from Cafe Rel. One thing great about staying in Franklin is its great to be around some other roads that we don't get a chance to check out in this area. Arriving on Friday afternoon November 5th around Deals Gap. We will go and eat at some of the must stop restaurants in the area. Right now I have two others joining in for this mini weekend. If you are having dragon withdraws come enjoy some fun drives. In two day you will get a lot of quality seat time on some amazing roads. If you are interested in joining us just post up here. Later BD

Thanks Guys. Nothing like the open air feeling in a roadster. Hope to see you both in the Spring.

Thanks for the invite. So sorry to miss you. Already committed for this weekend. By this time next year I expect to have weekends free when opportunities arise. If you are in Hot Springs at meal time Smoky Mountain Diner has great food. Glad you are back in an S2K. Enjoy!!

Congrats and welcome back, Bama Dave! Already have plans for Nov. 5-6, but a small group of us will be at Fontana Oct. 14-17. Just be aware that there is a large group at the Dragon Nov. 5-6 called Tougefest. It’s a pretty large gathering of enthusiasts (no one car type). We’ve been at that event several times and have witnessed some very erratic driving. Last year there were over 11 accidents during that weekend, so be extra careful on the Dragon that weekend, and have fun!

Thanks Sheila for the heads up about that event. I believe that was the last time we talked up there and yes too many accidents. That's one reason to stay away from that area. Already have plans to head to the BMT that same weekend you will be at Fontana but thanks for the invite. We will meet up again one day down the road.
