Here are a few shots from my Digital Rebel, you can get this for 899-999 new, cheaper if you look.
Dave, who makes that camera?
Awesome pics!

Thanks Kim, it's made by Canon also. Uses most of the same parts as the 10D. Pretty much just a different body and less custom features, but also less money.

Did you do any post-processing on those pics or are the straight out of the camera?

(They look great!)

If you are talking about the photos I posted, they are straight from the camera, just resized smaller.

All of these pics look beautiful! Regardless of the equipment, you guys are talented shutter-bugs.

BTW, that Lotus is primobitchen.

Yes all nice pictures but I have to say that the Canon Digital Rebel is a really nice camera. The Lotus isn't too shabby either.

Great pics tidalwdave!! It's amazing that your pics look that great without any post editing. Very NICE!

I agree that the Digital Rebel (aka 300D) is a great camera. In fact, there is a firmware hack that enables the majority of the features to make it function like my 10D.

BTW, where did you take that pic of the waterfall with the 2 S'? Also, what lenses do you use?

Thanks,

-Dave

Dave, that's Bridal Veil Falls in NC. The road behind it is no longer open due to a huge rock fall.

http://www.ncwaterfalls.com/dry1.htm

The lens I used was the Canon US EF 20-35mm zoom lens.

Other lenses I have are 18-55mm that came with the Rebel, the EF50mm, and the EF 75-300mm. Also have the Sigma EF-500 DG Super flash, which I love.

What are you using?

I'm afraid to try that hack to get the custom features on the Rebel. I'd hate for it to void my warranty. I got the 3 year extended Best Buy warranty, I'm sure I'll use it sometime in three years.
