Thanks for the compliments on the pics. My wife had a *great* time trying to get any good pics with the constant breaking, accelerating, and turning. IMO, getting anything was an accomplishment.

We do have a few lessons to learn from this outing and hope that each time we make it to an event, the pics keep gettin' better.

Thanks,

-Dave

Hope the drive down wasn't toooooo fast

The 132 must have been in KM.... I never went above 124 mph!!
There were a few occasions where the caravan got separated and that darn defective throttle got stuck wide-open (again) causing us to get caught back up. It's amazing how it fixes itself as soon as traffic starts to come up.

As of the 132... I believe my dash has a problem where 8's look like 13's... So, it really should have been 82 MPH going down a hill.

With me being a former '93 RX7 R1 owner, it may become obvious that I don't know what to do with a reliable car, as these weird "problems" keep popping up with the S... Maybe it is just in my head. -heh -heh

Yeah the pics where she is not shooting through the windshield or windblocker are nice and crisp with the Canon 10D, and even some of them are surprising pretty good as well.

BTW, the video is starting to look somewhat interesting... It is a shame that all the videos that I shot were of runs where there were a lot of slow downs.... Another lesson learned... bring A LOT of tapes.

I know it's bad when you quote yourself... but I saw this picture from Killboy's site and I wanted to show that Laurie was taking pics throughout the dragon through all the different windows/screens.

Killboy's pic of us taking a pic of him

She's amazing by not getting seasick or injuring herself with the camera.

It's a Canon EOS 10D.

It has recently been replaced with Canon EOS 20D, so the price should start dropping or more used ones popping up on ebay... However, get ready to spend some bucks for good lenses as you can keep reusing them as the body becomes outdated (i.e. megapixels increasing).

However, watch out for some of the 10D's having a focus problem... Our first one had to be replaced because of that problem...

Thanks,

-Dave

Not to go OT, but if you are looking for a digital camera, you don't need over 6 megapix unless you are going to print poster size prints. If you are going to print even paper size photos or put pix on The Net, 6mp might even be going overboard.

Here are a few shots from my Digital Rebel, you can get this for 899-999 new, cheaper if you look.
