Dragon Meet Rules to LIVE by.
There are always other car groups at Deals Gap the week we are there. Depending on the weather, there will probably be many bike groups present as well.
*More cars and bikes mean a higher chances of things happening at the Dragon*
I want to emphasize to everyone to be cautious. This is NOT a driving or racing event but a gathering of S2000 enthusiasts. You will be on public roads, you have to follow the rules and regulations set by North Carolina and Tennessee. When the law is broken, you could potentially face severe penalties and a possible loss of your driver's license.
To avoid dangerous situations at the Dragon, here are few suggestions:
1. If someone is tailgating you, just use one of the many pull-offs and let them pass. DO NOT brake check the person behind you!
2. Do not instigate trouble by making hand gestures, tailgating, verbal statements, etc.
3. Be friendly and respectful of other makes and model cars on the Dragon. Remember, you represent the S2000 community. One bad incident can ruin the event for everyone and potentially your life. We are respected as a group at the Dragon because of our behavior. That is NOT going to change.
4. Be patient. You are not at a race nor will you win a prize for being fast. Its a public road and your lack of patience might cause an accident.
5. Report any dangerous situations caused by fellow members to the organizers and/or Law Enforcement. If a group member demonstrates dangerous behavior after a warning, they will be permanently banned from the event.
6. DO NOT CROSS THE YELLOW LINE EVER!
Again, remember safety is your number one concern during your travel to, from, and during the event!
Thank you!
Ken and all the fine people who help put on the Dragon events and all the great people who attend.
Thanks Phil Sohn of the Mazda Group for the inspiration.

Just one more to add to the list.....
DO NOT cross the double yellow line for any reason, on the Dragon or any road during the entire event. If you do, you are over-driving the car beyond your abilities and are a danger to everyone including yourself.
And worst of all, Killboy is hidden everywhere If you cross the double yellow line it will be on film, and will be publicly posted with your license plate. You are also likely to get a wedgie at the banquet
So be safe and drive professionally!

Nice reminder Ken. I believe it was you that provided instruction to drive the white line during the escort over on Thursday evening 2 years ago when I first attended the meet.
As Billman stated. Killboy is EVERYWHERE!

Yep, one of my first rules for driving quickly. Drive the white, avoid the yellow.
