the hero2 does not have image stabilization, however if you shoot in 720/60fps the extra frames per second will help stabilize the video and make it run much smoother

in cargo net on tranny tunnel vs ziptied to the rear bumper bracket under the car

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dm9qZGMmanU

and then this old one to show again how you hear the exhaust just as good from inside the car with none of the road noise...still will probably try the ziptie rig at least once on the dragon

$300 and no image stabilization?!?!?! Geeez. I'm hoping they provide the ability to have the narrow FOV in other resolutions/FPS as they mentioned on the GoPro site in a firmware upgrade (unfortunately not the last one).

i assume you mean the mic right? no sir i have not. it got a little warm being under the bumper next to the exhaust...it would probably get incredibly hot under the hood

i hope so too. i really prefer the narrow fov because it gets rid of the distortion. in april when they release the wifi bacpac they will probably need new firmware for it. hopefully that firmware allows the use of the other field of vision in 720/60fps mode

i am curious...were you using

a.)

or

b.)

i just tried a for the first time on the secret compartment and it does shake quite a bit over bumps. b is much stiffer and doesn't really shake at all in comparison to a
