Thursday evening opportunity!!

Anyone looking for something to do Thursday evening, Dandridge, TN offers Music on the Town, a free, family-oriented concert. August 26 is Balsam Range, an award winning bluegrass group from NC. There will be food for sale, probably burgers or BBQ. You will need to bring seating. Music starts at 7:00, ends at 9:00. No alcohol.

This is a really relaxing, enjoyable event if you want to make the drive. If you plan it right, you get to return to Fontana along the shore of Douglas Lake, across Foothills Parkway, and up the Dragon in the moonlight!

Be safe! RevJohn

October last year was in Red River Gorge. Next year will also be in late August. Usually people don't have kids in school and can get away easier.

We had a wonderful time at DFR 2021 and met many wonderful people.
On Monday Don and I were headed to Gatlinburg, TN. He was on his bike and I was following in the S. We were coming to the end of Ridge Road when a woman in front of him started to turn onto Cartertown Rd, (without signaling) then changed her mind. He had to get on the brakes very hard and he went down. He skinned up his hands, his knees are brush burned and he is hurting pretty bad. After picking up the pieces and he got the bike able to run, we headed back to Fontana. The man in the Jeep Rental place was very kind. We got the bike loaded and left Tuesday morning around 9ish and got home about 9:30 pm. The bike has a lot of damage too. He has a doctors appointment tomorrow.

I’m really sorry to hear this. I hope Don will be okay. Did the car stop and offer to help or just keep going?
