This is my first s2k dragon event, so I'm just trying to make sure I don't miss out on any 1 event. So far I've only signed up for the Friday event. So ya, include me here as well.

 

Are there multiple gas stations? My s2k.... drinks gas lol.

 

The first gas station will be in Robbinsville, so if you have at least a 1/2 tank to start the day, you should make it to top off. I'd recommend topping off on Friday, at the end of your drive.

Unless you are getting seriously horrible mileage, you'll make Cashiers.

Cashiers will be the next gas stop. I'll check the route on Wednesday, when I get to the area, to see where we can top off on the ride. I'm skeptical that after we leave Cashiers, to hit Wolf Creek and Canada Road, that there are many fuel options available.

 

Is this the only Saturday organized drive? I usually play it by ear and have hooked up with people that really know their way around or know destinations and the path there gets figured out.(no real BAD WAY)

So for now.....put me down as an attendee for this drive.

No. Although it's not listed here, the normal Saturday drive is out to Tellico Grains Bakery for lunch, then a jaunt down TN-165 to Bald River Falls, then run across the Cherohola Skyway to Robbinsville for Ice Cream, then back up 129 to Fontana Village.

I'm sure Ken, John, or someone will announce more drives for Saturday.

FWIW...my Saturday drive was initially planned for Friday of the Spring 2020 event. When COVID hit, I pushed it to Spring 2021, not expecting the Fall event to happen.

I'll announce a Little Switzerland run for Spring 2021 after this event.

Someone should make a sticky that has the date/times for all group drives this weekend with links to their respective pages. That would surely cut down on the confusion.
