DfR 2022 - Saturday after the rollout
You might be thinking to yourself right now, whatever will I do Saturday after the rollout? Maybe you already have a plan, but if not, this is the drive for you! I'm going to call it a mystery drive for now oo00OO00oo.
We'll probably end up going over to have lunch at Tellico Grains, ooohing and ahhhing at Bald River Falls (it is really cool if you've never seen it), then crossing the Cherohala (over 1 mile in altitude on a smooth road with excellent views) with an optional stop through Robbinsville or maybe the Deal's Gap stores. We MIGHT do something completely different. Depending on who and how many go or what everyone is interested in, we may do something a little more spirited or a little more technical. The moral of the story is: we will default to the standard Cherohala drive that most are used to, which is a really nice drive if you've never done it, but also that isn't necessarily set in stone.
The pace will also depend on the attendees. Maybe tame, maybe spirited. It'll be something other than not moving, that we can be sure of! If you don't already have something planned for Saturday, feel free to sign up!
