DBRXI - OFFICIAL REGISTRATION INFO THREAD
#32
Unlikely - still too rich for my blood, at this point. No knock on the organizers, just the way it is. Still,
I am trying to figure a way. If S2KDays Ashevile were this summer, I'd be out....
Dave
One thing to consider is the "total package" or overall cost of the event. Maybe this will help your decision: The attached sheet provides some comparisons of the average cost for 2 people to attend 3 similar S2K events for 3 nights: S2KDays 2010, DBR 2010 and DBR 2011. The event costs are very interesting when you break them down!
For 2 people sharing a room (1 driver and 1 guest), DBRxi 2011 is estimated to be approximately 14% more than DBRX 2010 but 10% less than S2K Days 2010. They're all actually pretty close.
Of course, there are always options for cutting expenses at any event (such as lots of people staying in one room or cabin, staying off-site from the event headquarters, opting for fast food, etc.) but based on the assumptions listed, the event headquarters is a great deal!
Just some food for thought... Other lodging options are available too, of course.

so we'll see you there dave?

Enjoy all! Wish I could go, but those room rates are not in my budget.

Never mind; I just talked to the front desk. Their recorded message system is supposed to be up on Monday. So a person has to be at the front desk to get an answer through the weekend. Try again later.
Thanks Sheila. I got a call back and I am now officially reserved.

I tried to keep my shyness under wraps. Now just look at what you've done.
