Sunburn, I need to find some SPF100

No Tickets, my new Remote Radar/Laser Shifter. Popeye speed most of the way home, even thru Ohio.

4/32 of S02 tread worn away, trying too keep the Dragon and I-75 nice and sticky for all-ya-all.

Half quart of 10w30 and 369 quarts of PreMo.

7 ounces or Rum, Yeaaaa only 7 for all three days, I wasn't feeling that well. I'll try harder next time.

One very minor boo boo on the front bumper , Fricken Taco Bell Curb.

And I saved the Best for last,

Kept all Four Wheels on the ground.

How can one cut someone off unless they passed him? The whole road is double yellow line and if someone passed a bike on the "Dragon" that would be stupid.

We had several issues with crusier bikes but they almost always pulled over when there was an area to do so.

However trucks,mini-vans,and "clark griswalds" were another story

Someone lost thier oil? On the Dragon? Ouch, that musta sucked...

Actually, it was me! And it did suck. I had just installed a Fumoto valve two weeks ago, tightened it to the proper specs and all. About a third of the way through, down a long straight I heard something heavy bouncing under the car. Then pretty blue smoke At that point I didn't realize I was pouring oil, so I coasted the next pull off, dumping a line of oil into a sharp left hand turn. Opened the hood and saw my drain plug missing with the remaining oil streaming out. My wife went back to the straight to look for the plug and slow people down. I checked the car out for another minute and then went down to the corner to check it out. A biker had come through shortly after that, saw my wife, but didn't slow down in time. He set the bike down and went off into the brush, but thankfully he was ok. Meanwhile I'm putting dirt and leaves onto the oil to a) mark it and b) try to soak some up.

A lot of people stopped to help but Ron and Sheila (from Charlotte) came through with an extra drain bolt and spare oil. God bless those Charlottans! The car is fine, the biker was fine, but my nerves were shot. I hope I didn't ruin it for anyone else!

CN: Fumoto valve unspun itself on the Dragon, I put down a nice line of oil in a sharp corner, one bike down, rider unhurt, car is ok.

A huge thanks to Ron and Sheila, the people that stopped, Killboy for marking the area with chalk and cones, and Fumoto for almost killing my motor.

Harley Story Continued

The Harley problem started at the being of the Cherohala coming from Tellico Plains. We got stuck behind them & they were positioned in such a way that passing them was almost impossible. Our group was not about to go 35-45mph for 50 miles on the Cherohala, so when an opportunity to pass most of them came about I took it.

I got by all but two of them & in doing so I had to brake hard & make some room for the car to fit. The Harley rider behind me didn

The Stefi story:

Well got to the dragon. Almost involved in the first pileup during the caravan up there. Slammed on brakes, got out of it ok. No damage. Let's continue on. Ran dragon a couple of times, back and forth a good 3 times both ways. Even tackled the skyway. Boyfriend FINALLY shows up. We chat with some peeps then head out to the dragon again. He is in front of me. We go back through the Dragon. I couldn't keep up with him, he is OBVIOUSLY a MUCH BETTER DRIVER than I. Well stupidity got the better of me and I try to keep up. In doing so I attempted to take a turn WAY over a decent speed, and my car hit the side of the mountain.

The list:
-A new front bumper
-one new headlight
-new splash shield
-new hose to the compressor (yes, no AC right now)
-radiator support

Hmm... It looks like I can do that 04-05 front end We will see.

I'm ok. Had some neck issues the next day. Well, this is my first official "wreck." Course it had to happen 700 miles from home, and on a mountain. Didn't see that coming...So, I figure I'm not doing too bad at 22. I head home. I want to thank the guys who stopped and helped me out! I'm horrible with names, but THANK YOU! I head to the apt. next.

Went back to the Dragon the next day. Car still runs and still busted up. I had to tackle this thing again. Good time. Met up with some turboed 300ZX's, nice guys. Took some video, not of my car though. I have to go back up there and put the chunk of the bumper with the rest of the car/bike parts in that tree....I have to represent s2ki! Will I be back again? You bet! Oh, and I still Love my Honda!

All in all, I had a GREAT time. Stupidity + over excitement just don't work well on the dragon. Damage isn't MAJOR. No frame damage or anything. Mechanic back home will take a look. I will give them PLENTY of business after this hurricane blows through.

Yeah, BTW I'm kind of stuck here due to the hurricane. All interstates I use to get back home are contraflowed. Louisiana is about to drown! This one looks worse than Andrew.

But I thank everyone for a wonderful time, and will most definitely be back next year! Too much fun!
