Is it time to go yet?

Or is it time for Scooter to leave Florida yet?

The NOAA weather map of possible storm tracks has the entire state of Florida affected by Irma (and just to make it more interesting, there are two more storms forming in the Atlantic). Be careful, you won't be the only one who is leaving Florida

To put this storm into perspective, this quote from the Washington Post:

“The storm has maintained maximum wind speeds of at least 180 mph longer than any other storm on record in the Atlantic.” To put that size into context, if it was dropped over the state of Ohio, it would cover the Buckeye State from Toledo to Steubenville and from Cincinnati to Cleveland, Philip Bump notes.

Scoots and Irma heading to the same location. Is that just a coincident, we don't know. Just be careful on your travels.

To put it into FL perspective, our forecasters say, depending on actual track, the entire state may feel hurricane strength winds, up to cat 4 gusts closest to the eye... I hope Scooter packed his patience because my husband just went over a turnpike overpass (Clermont, FL) and said North was moving about 5-10 mph. I'm sure 75 North is the same. Safe travels & hope to see everyone in a week!

Somebody had to ask... and since Scooter is out touring Florida at 4 mph.... well... thought I'd ask!

We left Disney yesterday morning at 9:00a. It took around 18 hours to get north of Knoxville, TN. That was the first place we could find a room.

Going through Atlanta I would guess 90% of the cars were from Florida!!

Gas was near impossible to find until we got to northern Georgia.
