Soundzero, I agree with you. Like I said, people just need to be aware. The only info I saw on this when I got back was Luder's post and the shortly lived thread in the Ohio forum. The Ohio owners aren't to blame, nor should they take any responcibility for it and no one is blaming them. But not everyone was privvy to the meeting where you guys discussed it and decided to not talk about it once everyone was back.

I was in the middle of typing a response to Rich's post when it was locked and I know who did it because he said Saturday night he would.
At least he dosen't have autonomy in the Forum otherwise this would have been locked too.

Popeye, I would but I don't want to be seen as the a-hole who was persecuting these two all over the forums. I am sure they have seen this thread, which is why I am glad it is here and not there. I think that locking that thread looks bad on them, not anyone else. I know that some of you disagreed with the decision, and if it had just happened at an Ohio MED or something, and the COs felt that it didn't need to be discussed fine. Unfortunately, this was at one of the biggest S2Ki events and therefore cannot be avoided. The impacts of this reach far outside that state.
As far as I am concerned this thread too could be locked. The information is here for everyone to see, so everyone gets the idea and learns a lesson.
Do I like how it was handled in the OH forum? No, I think it was wrong. Should someone tell them about it? No... they are reading this thread.
Once I had returned home, I went looking to find out the details of what happened, which was FAR worse than what I had heard at WTD. To my disbelief it was "Not To Be Discussed" on that forum. Thank you Luder94 for posting the info in the gallery so we could find it, and thanks to airgate for doing the same here. I don't see the harm in making everyone aware of what is acceptable and not acceptable at events, especially when you can put someone in a legal hard place as what could have happened to our organizer and jeopardize all other events to follow.

There was no agreement to not talk about this. The agreement was not to speculate on the boards about the incident until the truth (if such a thing) came out from the police reports. I thought the point was not to fuel the fire beofre we knew what really happened. Maybe I was wrong. That is why I asked for the thing to be locked. I also called UBETIT after I posted to explain. I will not speak for others but I was embarrassed to be from Ohio at the Dragon because of this retard. I had met him one time last year and I think he said 2 words to me. He WAS NOT a part of our group heading to the WTD 06 but his recklessness effected our caravan down. Traffic, Cops, etc. This guy will get no sympathy from me, but to say Ohio folks are trying to hide this thing?...your damn right. Would'nt you? We want to be known for things like : Weekly gatherings, Mod Days, Route 26 Drives, Mid Ohio, HARTOPGUY.COM, Mocky, THE I.A.A. etc. We don't want to be labeled because some dope smoking punk almost killed people with his reckless behavior. We have a great group of people in this state. There are many small weekend events (car shows, wash and wax days, mod days, etc) as well as larger Vintage gatherings (Route 26) throughout the year. You guys can blast this kid all you want, he deserves it IMO. But please don't point fingers at the COs and others for any of this.

I don't remember starting a thread about this incident anywhere. (I remember commenting in as many as I could find.) I REALLY can't remember posting anything about this in the Gallery forum at all.
Was I drunk posting again?

I think you are referring to this thread:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=381830
Started by Luder94. If you ever met us in person, I would be surprised if you would ever confuse us again. We look about as different as two guys possibly can.

I only posted in the Ohio forum because by the time we got home it was on every TV, newspaper and radio station website in Cinci. It was no longer speculation.
I too was embarassed because as soon as you told someone you were from Ohio, they asked about that kid.
