Here is the routing that I've used when I lead the Cherohala Drive...

It includes a stop at Bald River Falls (watch for a brown sign about 1 mile out of Tellico Plains - I've missed the turn a couple of times!)....
I believe you missed it more than a "couple" of times!

Does 15 or 20 qualify as "a couple of times!"?

Here's a link to the Saturday Nut-n-Fancy drive. I plan on coming back TN-360 to Ballfield Rd to Rt 411 to TN-72 to 129 and back to the Dragon.

Cumulative Mileage Directions Distance
0 Depart US-129 on US-129 [TN-115] (North) 10.4 mi
10.4 mi Turn LEFT (West) onto TN-72 [Highway 72] 9.0 mi
19.4 mi Turn LEFT (South-West) onto US-411 [TN-33] 2.6 mi
22.0 mi Turn LEFT (South) onto TN-360 [Citico Rd] 3.1 mi
25.2 mi Bear RIGHT (South-East) onto TN-360 [Ben Kennedy Rd] 19.0 mi
44.2 mi Turn RIGHT (West) onto TN-165 [Riverside Dr] 5.5 mi
49.7 mi Turn RIGHT (South) onto River Rd

Nut-n-Fancy is on the left. The parking lot is behind the restaurant.

Our group will be joining Ken @ the fave restaurant. Is this the one that takes cash only?

And thanks for the call Mike! I am working on a group buy for tire chains.

Nut-n-Fancy takes cash and credit cards. It's Cafe REL that takes only cash.

I just got a message from the owners of Nut-n-Fancy that they will not be open. That kind of removes my reason for going to Tellico Plains. Phil, MIke's map will get you to Cherohala or you can use the abbreviated instructions I put up above. Come find either Mike or me on Friday and we'll figure a way to get you there without any hassles.

Few suggestions for lunch....

http://tellico-grains-bakery.com/

http://www.tellico-plains.com/tellico-kats.html

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran...Tennessee.html

Never been to any of them, but seem to be rated pretty good.

Not sure if they are open either!
