Default Cams and camera mounts

Hey, is anyone going to bring a bullet cam to The Dragon? I got one from http://www.chasecam.com/ and am looking forward to using it. Anyone have experience with a cam like this or know of a different/better way to mount it?

Dave,

I borrowed a small wireless camera from a friend of mine, and have it mounted on the horizontal parts of my grill.

I get some static, but we think its due to interference and not the camera itself (there are plenty of parts in the tests I did that came out flawless.)

Something from chasecams is probably next on the list.

Very nice setup. You should get some awesome video from that.

SC_Highlander has a similar mod with great success from lots of board members. I'm sure he will have his set up so you can take a close look. He has also taken great shots. It's next on my lost of investments.

The chase cam is a good setup. I'm cheap, though and didn't want to spend what Randy charges! I built this for significantly less $ and it works well:

The bracket mounts to either the front or rear bumper using the factory tow-hook lug. I had the brackets made at a local machine shop, then used a bogen 3229 monopod head and a bullet cam from www.intellicamusa.com. I'm using powered DC mics from www.supercircuits.com for sound.

I sold the last batch of kits for around $180 for everything (cam, mount, mic, power cord, RCA cables), but I haven't built any kits since last summer.

If anyone is looking for the aluminum camera mount that mounts where the windblocker goes, I have one for sale and will bring it to Knoxville. The price is $100.
